RUS 104 Project 6C

Project 6c was a challenging project. We were require to build an amphitheater stage model with the scale of 1:5. The model making part was fun, it was time consuming and also a money consuming project.
First, we were quite lucky that we have few of our group members has the experience on ''dealing'' with the woods. we spent only 1 day to build the platform as known as 'plataforma X'
The next few days, we started to build the curve roof and supporting columns.

The white coloured base is the platform, it was the first thing we build before we raise up everything.

Next, we begun to build the columns, Since we couldn't make a straight wood into curve shape, so we did something like added a curved wood at the edges and filled up the gap with wood filler before we painted it white to cover up them.

When everything was done, we started to 'plant' the grass on the roof.
We bought those artificial grass from DAISO with RM5 for each piece for covering up the roof as our green roof. We tried very hard to make sure that it do not show the gap between each of the grass carpet.

In our presentation board, the bottom part of the green roof is climbers because the grass itself could not hold on the steep slope on the roof. Climbers will do and it was the best choice to cover up the steep slope of  the roof.

These are the details of each of the small parts of 'The Oxygen'

We were quite happy and satisfy with the outcome although we failed to fix lighting effect in our amphitheater, it was a great experience to work together with all my friends from 7 different courses in the mixture of all races. We get the know more about each other. Besides that, all of them have better ideas in different fields, when we share together, we learn more and it leads us move further. I was quite glad that our group did not happen any quarrel in these 6 weeks. Eventually, project 6 had come to an end. I was surprised that our amphitheater stage has actually won the 2nd place among all the competitors, it is the biggest compliment to us for working hard on this project.
