RUS 104 Project 6A 6B

Project 6 was the biggest project i have ever did, i think. It took 6 weeks for us to prepare included presentation drawing and model making.
We are in Group 5, with 16 group members. We form our own 'company' in studio 100 for letting us to carry out our group activity. Project 6 was the 2nd project that made me staying up whole night just to draw the presentation drawing. I had been staying up late until 7am in the early morning for painting the presentation drawing, although the process was quite tough and tiring but the result turned out was a great surprise and satisfying.

Project 6 was about building an amphitheater performance stage. It can be considered as a project where we create with out bare hands, from A to Z.

Our group leader Amalin from Architecture divided us into few small "departments", we had small department meeting and group discussion 2 days a week. After few discussion, we concluded our meeting by taking 'The Oxygen' as our amphitheater. It required some techniques to arrange our presentation boards to have some specific contents such as section drawings, perspective views and plans.

We get our idea for designing the stage from 'The Thinker', it simply combines the art of architecture and human's art work. We had our idea for adding green roof as it show out the simplicity yet natural building structure. The idea of the roof idea was came from the concept of bird wings. The bird wing design allows air to flow into the building structure and cool down the surrounding temperature.

That's all for my blog post about project 6a.
